4.1 Operating Elements

Shift key
Switches the keypad to a textpad
when pressed; the textpad is active
only as long as the Shift key is
pressed.
Text/numeric keypad
Numbers and letters can be entered
via the combination keypad in a
fashion similar to that of mobile
phones.
Numerals : 0 to 9; “.” (decimal separator) and “-“ (minus)
Text entry : a, b, c, ... x, y, z and A, B, C, ... X, Y, Z; INS = insert; DEL = delete;
To insert special characters : SHIFT + "1" (if necessary, several times for /, %, $ ...)
To insert spaces : SHIFT + INS (simultaneously)
To delete characters : SHIFT + DEL (simultaneously)
Line break : SHIFT + OK (simultaneously)
Tip:
To accept characters:
release the Shift key or press the right arrow of the
5-way navigation key.
To jump directly to the function line: simultaneously press the Shift key and the
down arrow of the 5-way navigation key.
