Using the Brother MFC with

To work with your MFC, your USB-Equipped Apple

up with Mac OS 8.5/8.51/8.6/9.0. (The Brother Scanner Driver works only with
Mac OS 8.6/9.0)
Installing the Brother Printer
and Scanner Drivers

Turn on the power to your Macintosh
®
and wait for the startup process to be
completed.

Insert the Brother CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The window below will
appear automatically.

To install the Printer and
Scanner Drivers, click
MFL Pro Driver
Installer.

After installation is
completed, connect a
standard USB cable to
both the MFC and the
Macintosh
®
.
Note
Before you can connect the MFC to your Macintosh
®
, you must purchase a
USB cable that is no longer than 6 feet (1.8 meters).
Note
Restart your Macintosh
®
so it can recognize the new drivers.
