101 Reinstalling Your Computer’s Software
5 When you see the “Welcome to Macintosh” message, release the C key.
In a few seconds the desktop below appears. Your computer is now running
the system software that’s on the Macintosh Restore CD.
Now continue with the steps in “Reinstalling Your System Software” or
“Reinstalling All Your Original Software.”
Reinstalling your computer’s software
Software can sometimes develop problems and may need to be replaced.
Restore System Software is a program that reinstalls the system software that
was on your computer when you purchased it. You might also want to
reinstall all the software that originally came with your computer. If that’s the
case, go to the next section, “Reinstalling All Your Original Software.”
