Converting sound to text (Voice Recognition)
Training
Preparation:
Follow the steps below to create a Voice Recognition user.
Convert sound to text.
Before voice recognition, the speaker’s voice must be registered in a training process. Choose the speaker’s
voice recognition user name when converting their speech to text.
Voice recognition cannot be used for recordings of conferences or other situations where several people speak
at once, or for recordings with static.
If you will convert sound files from an IC recorder to text after recording, set the recording mode to “Dictation
recording”. (This will produce sound files recorded in monaural.) For instructions on “Dictation recording”, refer to
the IC recorder operating instructions.
The “Dictation Cord” is supplied for use only
with these IC recorders.
For IC recorders other than these, please
purchase a suitable microphone, available at
your local electronics store.

Connect a microphone to the
computer.
One of the following IC recorders can be
used as a microphone.
RR-US470/050/065/500
The IC recorder’s “Recorder Monitor
Function” is used as the microphone.
Disconnect the USB cable of the IC
recorder from the computer.
Connect the IC recorder to the computer
using the “Dictation Cord”.
Switch the mode to “Dictation.”
For instructions on selecting dictation
mode, refer to the operating instructions
of the IC recorder.
