InstModification may or may not require
the PreviousInstance property depending
on whether a given profile requires it. If
the SMI-S profile defines an IndicationFilter
on InstModification it shall specify whether
or not PreviousInstance is required. It is
always be recommended.
If a profile defines PreviousInstance as
optional, then an implementation may
optionally provide a previous instance.
However, if the SMI-S profile defines an
IndicationFilter on InstModification with
PreviousInstance required, then all
implementations shall implement the
PreviousInstance property.
PreviousInstance
The model path of the SourceIn-
stance.
The model path of the SourceInstance cre-
ated.
The exact format of this string is defined in
the DMTF CIM Architecture Specification
(DSP0004) Section 5.3 "Naming CIM
Objects.
Some CIMOM implementations provide a
function or paradigm for adding this string
property.
SourceInstanceModelPath
The time and date of creation of
the Indication. The property may
be set to null if it cannot be determ-
ined.
The time the indication was generated by
the provider.
IndicationTime
An identifier for the Indication used
for correlated indications.
An identifier used for correlated indica-
tions. Correlated indications tend to span
multiple providers, hence a mechanism
common to multiple providers should be
used to generate identifiers.
