Finally the brake caliper (40) is mounted on the fork end (60). If a MAGURA brake disc or
an alternative with D=320 mm is used the distance plates (30) are needed between the brake
caliper and the fork end. If a brake disc with D=310 mm is used then they are not necessary.
The tightening torque of the screws for the brake calipers is 45 Nm. The screws must be locked
with a „medium strength“ screw locking fluid.

The Honda mounting corresponds with that of KTM. No side distance pieces are required for
the brake disc if the original hub is used. For tightening torques and sequences see the KTM
mounting. Additionally the set screw (90) must be mounted on the inside. Tightening torque: 4
Nm. The 2004 and 2005 models differ in the axle spacing from the forked tube (2004: 35 mm;
2005: 33 mm) and at the distance plate (30). (2004 model: 5 mm; 2005 model: 8.5 mm).
It is recommended that in connection with the MAGURA brake and original hub only brake discs
with D=320 mm are used, since for smaller brake disc diameters the spokes could touch the
brake caliper.
