Hints for successful zero setting
• Zero set any TOP sensors first (tank must be open to air/depressurized)
• Then continue with BOT and UPP sensors
• Wait for the adjusted value to stabilize
• Adjust again if value shows >± 5mm H2O
Krohne BM70 radar
Although not an everyday task, there might be need for adjustments on the
BM70 radar. You don’t zero adjust a radar transmitter the same way you
would adjust a pressure sensor. For the radar we will execute the Empty Tank
Spectrum procedure
Empty Tank Spectrum
Following the sequence below, the empty tanks spectrum is achieved by using
the UP, RIGHT and RETURN keys on the radar display. However, in
hazardous
areas we leave the front plate in place and use a bar magnet and
the magnetic “buttons”. See the location of these “buttons in Fig. 2.

Note : This procedure should only be executed when the tank is empty.
Procedure
In the following instructions, when using the magnet, Press means touch the
glass window immediately above the indicated sensor in a tapping motion.
(Note the location of the 3 circles in the picture)

2 Press
up
arrow
twice
3.0 is displayed. (3 blinking)
