Maintenance and Recalibration
The need to clean the sensor is determined by the site
conditions, and the accuracy you want to obtain from the
instrument. For example, when used in relatively clean water of
low biological productivity, a conductivity sensor could maintain
its accuracy specifications for several months. On the other hand,
in water with a high potential for biological or mineral fouling,
the sensor may need to be cleaned and recalibrated more
often. Visual inspection and measurement results are the best
indicators that a device needs service recalibration.
It is the user’s responsibility to develop and follow a maintenance
program appropriate to the site. Most standard operating
procedures (SOPs) instruct that the instrument be checked in a
known standard at the end of a deployment. Calibration should
always be checked after cleaning, and should be recalibrated
when necessary.

Maintenance recommendations in
Section 9.
Factory recalibration of the Aqua TROLL 200 Instrument should
