Accumulator Subassembly
(see instruction sheets on pages 42, 43, 44)
1. Position o-ring
seat in groove on relief valve body and ¼” q-ring on the short spike
at center position on relief valve body.
2. Position second o-
ring set in groove on valve body and another ¼” q-ring on shot
spike at center position on valve body.
3.
Push the third ¼” q-ring into bottom end of glass tube.
4. Drop floating poly ball into glass tube so it rests on the ¼” q-ring which was placed
into the glass tube from step 3.
5. Place glass tube over ¼” q-ring on relief valve and slide accumulator body over
glass tube and screw it securely to relief valve body.
6. Attach valve body to accumulator. Tighten by hand only.

Place spring into opening on top of valve body. Place 7/32” stainless steel ball
onto spring.
8.
Place ¼” q-ring onto short spike of ball check. Moisten o-ring with water and screw
o-ring and ball check into valve body. Snug tight only.
9. Attach the valve cap with seal.
10. Position safety cover over accumulator body.
CAUTION: The glass tube serves two purposes; one, to determine proper charge
visually and two, as a safety back up relief if the relief valve fails. Therefore, the
glass cover must be kept in place at all times in the event that the glass tube
should rupture.
Final Assembly
1. Position ball, spring and spring retainer in check valve.
2. Thread locknut onto check valve. Locknut goes on back threads.
3. Position o-rings (2-each) over exposed threads on either end of check valve. The o-
ring on one end should be positioned on thread relief between the two threaded areas.
4. Attach check valve to outlet body (side port).
Note: Arrow on check valve indicates direction of flow (away from outlet body).
5. Attach check valve to relief valve body and secure by tightening locknut against
relief valve body. Accumulator should align vertically with pump before locknut is
wrench tightened.
