Note: Always wear safety glasses and protective clothing.
11. After accumulator is removed from filter body, clean accumulator in solvent.
Accumulator should be cleaned weekly to prevent resin gelation.
Resin system can now be broken down for maintenance. Refer to Trouble-Shooting
Guide and parts drawings for proper maintenance. Refer to Trouble-Shooting Guide
for filled system procedure and for long period shut-down. Daily start-up and shut-
down procedure described here is also included in the Trouble-Shooting Guide.
Reassembly of resin accumulator and resin filter
1. Grease accumulator nipple threads and O-ring. Check O-ring for damage or wear.
Replace if necessary.
2. Place poly ball on top of nipple.
3. Screw accumulator body onto nipple. Hand tighten only.
4. Grease threads of filter tank.
5. Place filter core into filter screen.
Note: pin on core must enter filter screen first.
6. Place screen and core into tank.
Note: pin end of core and screen goes into tank first. Core and screen will rest
against spring in bottom of filter tank.
7. Screw filter tank, core and screen into bottom of filter body. Hand tighten only.
8. To remove catalyst from system, use only clean water. Wash all parts thoroughly
and blow dry.
Note: Catalyst has a much longer shelf life than resin and therefore does not need
to be removed from the system as often. See Catalyst manufacturer for shelf life.
