5. Attach ell tube fittings (2 each) to ends of the tube. Attach one end of tube to valve

block with ell tube fitting.

6. thread stud into valve block (small holes in stud away from block).
7. Position the third o-ring in the recess on front edge of valve block (over the stud).
8. Place on eccentric into hole in base plate nearest raised area.
9. Attach valve block/motor subassembly to base by inserting air motor into large hole

in base raised side and securing it with one of three provided set screws. Care
must be exercised to locate stud directly in center of hole in base.

10. Tighten the cap screw at this time.

Base Plate Subassembly (’75 Model)

1. Attach roving guide to base with cap screw. (Cap screw passes through base and

threads into roving guide). Guide should be angled so top edge of guide is in line
with top edge of base plate and carbide side of guide holes are facing up. Tighten.

2. Attach bearing and two washers to base with one of the two provided cap screws

and attach with eccentric.

3. Slip rubber roll over roll mandrel and bearing, and secure it by installing e-ring into

the end slot of roll mandrel.

4. Attach bearing mandrel and one washer to base with remaining cap screw and

attach with other eccentric.

5. Rotor assembly, rotor installation and chopper adjustment is the same as

described in ’80 model chopper assembly.

Cover Subassembly (’75 Model)

1. Insert cover nut through corner hole in cover and secure in place with lock ring.
2. Position cover over chopper assembly and secure by attaching cover nut to end of

stud. Align roll pin with notch in edge of cover.

3. Attach cap screw to base (this is for attaching cable from boom).

Chopper Final Assembly

1. Attach assembled R04 roving cutter to handle with the wedge washers and cap

screw. Once wedge washer on either side of base plate.

2. Attach loose end of tube to handle with the tube fitting.

Catalyst Pump Assembly Instructions

The pump assembly procedure, as described, is factory recommended method. MVP will
not be responsible for any damage if recommended procedure is not followed.

Components are first assembled to form subassembly units. The subassemblies are, in
turn, assembled to complete pump. This method simplifies the assembly process.
