Making a Second Call
You can make a second call while your first call is still active.
1. Dial the first number and wait until the person answers.
2. Use the 5-way to select Hold.
3. Use the 5-way to select Add Call.
4. Dial the second number using any of the methods described
in “Making Calls” on page 57.
5. When the Dial another call? prompt appears,
select Yes.
6. Press Power/End to end both calls. To return to the first call, wait for the second
call to hang up.
Answering a Second Call (Call Waiting)
When you are on a call, you can receive a second call. When the second call comes in, you
hear a call-waiting tone and the Call Waiting dialog box appears. You can do any of the
following to handle the second call:
ⅷ To place the current call on hold and answer the new call, press Talk or use the
5-way to select Answer.
ⅷ To send the new call to voicemail, use the 5-way to select Ignore.
ⅷ
To send the new call to voicemail and send the caller a text message, use the 5-way
to select Ignore with Text.
Tip: Active Call view now includes two status lines, each representing one of
the calls. You can join the two calls in a conference call by selecting Conf,
or finish the second call and return to the first call, but you cannot
switch between the two calls.
