Step by Step
Using a different telephone in the same
way as your own
You can log on to another telephone belonging to the
HiPath 4000 system via a personal identification
number or PIN (this includes telephones of networked
HiPath 4000 systems, for example, at other branches of
your company). At the other telephone you can then:
• make calls and assign the charges to cost centres,
• make calls and assign the charges to specific
projects,
• retrieve messages from your mailbox,
• set appointments.
Using an internal PIN, you can have your calls diverted
to a telephone in the office or department where you
will be for a temporary period (call forwarding - "follow
me").
Prerequisite: You have been assigned a PIN by System
Support. You require an internal PIN for calls within your
own HiPath 4000 system, while for calls involving other
HiPath 4000 systems in the integrated network you
require a network-wide PIN.

If you have several PINs and wish to use another one,
select the other PIN.

You are prompted to enter the PIN by the message
"Enter station no." or "Enter ID" on the display.
Entering the PIN for your own HiPath 4000 system:
