Conducting calls – the basic functions

Answering a call

Your handset rings (Æ page 25). The caller information

appears on the display. The name and/or telephone

number of the caller can be displayed. You have the fol-

lowing options for answering a call:

The handset is in the charging shell: remove the hand-

set from the charging shell (only works if "Auto Answer"

is active Æ page 25).

c or d The handset is not in the charging shell. Press the Talk

key or Speakerphone key.

When you have answered the call you can

• transfer the call (Æ page 64),

• place the call on hold and consult with someone

else in the room (Æ page 63),

• place the call on hold and call a second partner

the call (Æ page 64) or to set up a conference

Deactivating the ringer for the current call:

If you are currently in a meeting, for example, and want

to leave the room before accepting the call:
Press the display key. The ringer is deactivated for the

current call.

c or d Press the Talk key or Speakerphone key. The call is

accepted.
