Configuring the PC interface
Your handset can communicate with a computer.
Configuration
To complete configuration, you must:
• use a Siemens data cable to connect the headset/PC interface jack on
the handset to the computer.
• install the "Siemens Data Suite“ application. For more information, con-
sult your system administrator.
Possible action
You can use the computer to perform the following action at the handset:
Read parameters:
• Software version
• Type
• Vendor code
Read and edit parameters:
• ringer settings
• volume settings
Read and edit lists:
• Telephone directory
• E-mail directory
• Call-by-call list
• Appointments list
• Redial list
Additional actions:
• Load the screen saver
• Load melodies
• conducting and accepting calls
Data transfer mode
Large volumes of data are transferred between the handset and the com-
puter for certain functions. In this case, the handset is switched to data
transfer mode and data transfer appears on the display. In this mode, no
inputs are possible via the keyboard and calls are ignored.
