[3] System Upgrade

Function

You can view the system upgrade information, or change the program of the DSP
chip for VoIP and the operation program for the SMG-3200 using TFTP or FTP.
Changes are stored in the system’s flash memory and will be implemented when
the system is rebooted.

There are two ways to upgrade the system of the SMG-3200:

❶ TFTP : It receives the system program stored on a TFTP server at a remote

location through TFTP protocol and changes the program. The system
program to be changed must be stored under the “/tftpboot” directory
in the TFTP server.

❷ FTP

: When there is no TFTP server, it first receives the program to be

changed through FTP protocol. By selecting the FTP method and
typing in the number of files in the system program, the system
program will be changed.

Procedure

1. In the screen, type ‘3’, and press [Enter].
