REPEATER OPERATION
■
Offset frequency
When communicating through a repeater, the transmit fre-
quency is shifted from the receive frequency by an amount
determined by the offset frequency.

Select the mode/channel you wish to set the offset fre-
quency to, such as VFO mode or memory/call channel.

Push the desired band’s [
(MAIN)
EDIT] for 2 sec. to enter the
edit screen.
• Push [CHG/L] if [(MAIN) EDIT] is not displayed.

Push [
Y
] or [
Z
] to select the ‘OW’ item.
• Left-hand tuning dial can also select the item.

Rotate the right-hand tuning dial to select the desired fre-
quency.
• The offset frequency is set temporarily. Push [MW] for 2 sec. to
store the offset frequency permanently.
• Push [MHz] to toggle the 1 MHz tuning step ON and OFF.
• The color of the frequency indication changes when the setting is
different from the memory or call channel contents.
