Note: This step is required only for ActivePairing (Scenario 2 or 3) with a PDA
with the Broadcom or Widcomm Bluetooth stack.
IDENTIFYING YOUR BLUETOOTH STACK:
Check the About screen of your Bluetooth software to determine if it was
developed by Broadcom or WIDCOMM. The table below lists some devices
that have the Broadcom or WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack:

DISABLING THE SERIAL PORT PROFILE:
Open your Bluetooth software. Tap on the Services tab. Next to the Serial
Port option, uncheck the Enable Service option.

Remove any barcode scanning software already installed on your device.
OPTION 1: Uninstall Directly from the Pocket PC
1. Make sure the barcode scanning software is not running.
2. Tap Start | Settings. Tap on the System tab or Control Panel.
3. Tap on the Remove Programs icon.
4. Use the utility to remove the software.
OPTION 2: Uninstall with the ActiveSync
1. Make sure the barcode scanning software is not running.
2. Use ActiveSync and a serial/USB cable or cradle to make an active
connection between your device and a host PC.
3. On the host PC, open Microsoft ActiveSync.
4. Click Tools | Add/Remove Programs.
5. Use the utility to remove the software.
