To create Support Pack diskettes:
1. Insert the SmartStart CD into the CD-ROM drive tray of a server with a bootable
CD-ROM drive. The server does not need to be the one in which you are going to
install the controller.
2. Restart the server.
3. On the System Utilities screen, select Create Support Software.
4. On the Diskette Builder screen, select Create Support Software From CD
Only.
5. Scroll down the list and select the support software for the operating system that
you are using.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to create the diskettes. Depending on your
operating system, you may need to use up to six blank diskettes.
Detailed instructions for installing the device drivers are given in the README files
on the Support Pack diskettes.
Updating the Insight Manager Agents
If you are installing the controller as additional storage, you may now update the
Insight Manager Agents if new versions are available. Refer to the documentation
that is included with Insight Manager for the correct procedure to update the agents.
You can obtain the Insight Manager Agents from your local reseller or authorized
service provider. The latest versions of Insight Manager and Management Agents are
also available for download at
www.hp.com/products/servers/platforms. Click the
Management tab, and then click the appropriate Insight Manager link.
If the new agents do not function correctly, you may also need to update Insight
Manager.
