Printing via IPP (Internet Printing Protocol)
IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) is a protocol for end users’ most common printing situations over the
Internet. It allows users to find out about a printer’s capabilities, submit print jobs to a printer,
determine the status of the printer or print job, and cancel a previously submitted print job.
Note:
❏ You must have administrator privileges in order to install the printer driver.
❏ If the User Account Control window appears when installing on Windows Vista/7/Server 2008/
Server 2008 R2, click the Continue button or the Yes button.
