< Grid fault >
The line voltage has fallen below the
permissible range. This error can have the
following causes:
• Power distribution grid disconnected
• AC cable damaged
• The grid voltage at the termination
point of the inverter is too low.
The inverter disconnects itself from the
power distribution grid for safety reasons.
• Check for tripping of the miniature
circuit‑breaker.
• Check the grid voltage and
connection on the inverter.
If the line voltage lies outside the
permissible range due to local grid
conditions, ask your grid operator if the
voltage can be adjusted at the feeding
point or if it would be acceptable to
change the monitored operational limits.
If the grid voltage lies within the tolerance
range, yet this error is still being displayed,
contact the SMA Service Line.
3
< Grid fault >
The 10‑minute average line voltage is no
longer within the permissible range.
This can have the following causes:
• The grid voltage at the termination
point of the inverter is too high.
• Grid impedance at the termination
point of the inverter is too high.
The inverter disconnects to assure
compliance with the power quality of the
power distribution grid.
• Check the grid voltage at the
termination point of the inverter:
If, due to local grid conditions, the grid
voltage exceeds the configured limiting
value, ask the grid operator whether the
voltage can be adjusted at the feeding
point, or whether it would be acceptable to
modify the limiting value for power quality
monitoring.
If the grid voltage is continuously within the
tolerance range, and this error is still
displayed, contact the SMA Service Line.
4
< Grid fault >
The inverter is no longer in grid parallel
operation and has stopped feed‑in
operation for safety reasons.
• Check the grid connection for strong,
short‑term frequency variations.
5
< Grid fault >
The power frequency is not within the
permissible range. The inverter disconnects
itself from the power distribution grid for
safety reasons.
• If possible, check the power
frequency and observe how often
major deviations occur.
If there are frequent fluctuations and this
error occurs as a result, ask your grid
operator if it would be acceptable to
change the operating parameters.
Discuss the proposed parameters with the
SMA Service Line.
