4 Select a new magnification for offset compensation. In this example,
the X20 magnification is selected.
5 Measure the reference
circle again using the new
magnification.
An offset might be shown in
the Part View window.
6 Construct a distance
between the reference circle
and the new circle. Refer
to Chapter 5: Measuring for
instructions regarding con-
structions if necessary.
7 Click Crosshair Properties and enter the X and Y
distance values shown in the Results window into the X
and Y offsets fields for the new probe, and then click
OK.
The position data gathered using the new probe magnification will now match those of the reference probe
magnification in subsequent measurements.
8 Repeat the process of steps 4 through 7 to compensate other probe magnification offsets.
