Starting the contour programming
The contour programming for smarT.NC can be started two different
ways:
„ Directly from the main row of the editing menu, if you want to define
several separate contours in a row.
„ From the form during the machining definition, if you want to enter the
names of the contours to be edited.
Starting the contour programming from the main row of the editing
menu
8 Select the smarT.NC operating mode.
8 Select the third soft-key row.
8 Start contour programming: smarT.NC switches to the file
manager (see figure at right) and shows any existing contour
programs.
8 Select an existing contour program (*.HC) and open it with
the ENT key, or
8 Create a new contour program: Enter the file name (without
file type), and confirm with the MM or INCH key. smarT.NC
opens a contour program with the units of measurement
you selected.
8 smarT.NC automatically inserts two lines for defining the
drawing surface. If required, adjust the dimensions
