Verify Controls
Note
Do not attempt to control a robotic camera until proper operation of SHOT
Director controls is verified.
1.
Press the
Setup
button (
MAIN SETUP MENU
dialog box

Select
DIAG
(
). The
DIAGNOSTICS
dialog box (
) appears
and the
AUTO IRIS
indicator blinks continuously.
3.
Center the joystick, then verify that the first three sets of numbers in the
second row of
RAW POT VALUES
are greater than -30 and less than 30. If
the values are outside this range, perform a manual joystick calibration
(refer to
).
4.
Move the
ZOOM
and
PAN/TILT SPEED CONTROL
sliders from one end of
travel to the other end of travel. Verify that the fourth and fifth set of
RAW POT VALUES
read 0 (±2) to 50 (±2) as the sliders are moved. If the
values are outside this range, perform a manual joystick calibration
(refer to
).
5.
Rotate the
FOCUS CONTROL
knob and verify that it operates smoothly for
several rotations in each direction. Verify that the
FOCUS
numerical
display on the
DIAGNOSTICS
dialog box changes with the rotation of the
knob.
