Manually Creating a New Playlist
To save a playlist:
1. When you are done adding clips, click
Save
on the main toolbar.
The Save As window appears:
2. Select a location for the playlist and enter a file name.
3. Click
Save
.
The playlist is saved with a .pls extension.
To save a playlist with a different name, select
File | Save As
, enter a new filename,
and click
Save
.
You can also save an NCS rundown as a local playlist. This creates a “snapshot” of
the current state of the rundown. If the rundown is then changed on the NCS and you
need to revert to the previous version, you can open the local .pls version.
Opening Saved Playlists
1. Click
Open Playlist
on the main toolbar.
2. Select a playlist and click
Open
; the playlist opens and displays the list of clips it
contains.
You can modify, review, or play the playlist to air.
Appending a Playlist
If you want to add another local playlist, you can append one to the current playlist in
Aurora Playout. To append a playlist:
1. Select
Append Playlist
from the File menu.
The Open window appears.
2. Select the playlist you want to append by browsing to a .pls file, and click
Open
.
