Chapter 3 Using Aurora Ingest - Scheduler
You do not need to have a video capture card installed in order to use this feature. You
can set the
Video Display Device
dropdown to
No Capture Device
and configure your
router source to an external monitor to preview the feed.
To launch Video Viewer:
1. Select an event on the Scheduler and click the Video Viewer icon or select
View |
Live Feed Viewer
.
2. The Live Feed Viewer window opens and displays the clip from the selected event.
3. You can click on the Video Viewer icon again to hide the Live Feed Viewer
window.
4. If you click the Asset Viewer button while the Live Feed Viewer window is on
display, the Live Feed Viewer will close its window and the View Asset window
will launch; and vice versa.
Using Asset Viewer
With the Asset Viewer, you can view a previously recorded item or a currently
recording item, and trim the top and tail of the clip if it is already linked to an Aurora
Playout placeholder. This feature is currently supported for playbacks on K2 media
clients only.
A video capture card is not mandatory because the Asset Viewer window will still
launch and you can trim the clip by previewing it using an external monitor. The Asset
Viewer uses the same video capture device and router destination as the Video
Viewer. For more information on configuring the high resolution asset viewer, refer
to
“Configuring Scheduler in the Aurora Ingest - Scheduler application” on page 45
