Per this example, the CDM-IP 2 Route Table should now display the following:

Go to “Per Route” by pressing [E], then disable ‘HdrCompression’, ‘PayloadCompression’ and
‘3xDES’ by selecting ‘No’ (‘Clear’ for 3xDES) for each of these choices.
Finally, perform the following steps on the Satellite IP Demodulator (CDD-56X) 3:

From the CLI Main Menu, select the Route Table [R] submenu.

Enter ‘1’ to configure the first route.

Enter a suitable name (e.g., ‘ToCDMIP2’).

Set IP Address to ‘172.17.10.0’.

Set Number of Subnet Bits to ‘24’.

For Interface to which route is destined to

Set the Next-hop IP Address to ‘172.16.10.1’.

Per this example, the CDD-56X Demod 3 Route Table should now display the following:

If the Header Compression Feature is available on this demodulator, do the following:
From the CLI Main Menu, select Administration [A] Æ Features Configuration [F] Æ
RxHeaderCompression [H], then press ‘1’ to disable the Header Compression on ‘Demod 1’.
At this point the basic configuration is over and the user should be able to:
Ping PC 1 from PC 2 and vice versa;
