Thermal & Fan Speed Control
EC gets the CPU temperature by PECI interface. It can also get the memory temperature
through the thermal sensor in the DIMM slot (the local thermal sensor of W83L771). EC can get
the system temperature through the remove sensor of W83L771 (slave address 1001100xb).
There are two fans. One is for the CPU FAN (TA1, A_PVM) and the other is SYS FAN (TB1,
B_PWM).
6.3.3.1
Thermal Trip
EC sets up the six thermal trip levels. The following table shows the instances of these levels.
6.3.3.2
Thermal Throttling
There is no applicable thermal throttling settings.
6.3.4
Battery Information - Charging & Discharging Control
The hardware selects a battery, so the EC firmware could report the battery information and
write the code for charging and discharging.
There are five charging states:
Wake-up charging
Pre-charging
