Use the
keys to browse through the various RAID levels. Press
to select the desired RAID level.

QUICK RAID SETUP

Install and insert all drives to be used in the array, and power up the InfoStation by
turning on both power supply modules simultaneously. Any disks intended for use
as spares should be physically removed prior to creating the array.

Use the InfoStation RAID Control Panel to create an array (Figure 25).

to select option.

Once the desired RAID level is selected, you will be prompted to confirm your se-
lection. Select Yes to confirm.
NOTES:
When using the Quick Setup option, the array will be created on
ALL disks within the InfoStation (any disks intended for use as
spares should be physically removed prior to creating the array).
OS limitation is 2.0 TB maximum. However, multiple arrays or parti-
tions can be created to achieve over 2.0 TB capacity (e.g. one
array/partitions with 2.0 TB, the other array/partitions with 1.0 TB,
or a combination thereof).

After the array is created, insert any disks for use as spares.

Once setup is complete:
• If multiple partitions are required, proceed to section "Partitions" on page 58 of
this User's Guide.
• If no additional partitions are required, proceed to section "LUN Mapping" on
page 60 of this User's Guide.
