CUSTOMIZED RAID SETUP
NOTE: Please familiarize yourself with section "HyperTerminal Connection" on page
40 before proceeding with customized RAID setup.
1. Invoke the HyperTerminal screen.
2. to the Menu side of the screen and press . Enter password
(default password = 00000000).
3. RAID configuration:
a. Use keys to select RAID PARAMS. Press .
b. Select Array 1 and press .
c. Select Reconfig-RAID and press .
Select Yes and press .
d. Arrow down and select RAID Level. Press .
Select x (x = desired RAID level) and press .
e. Arrow down and select Disk Number. Press .
Select the number of disks to be used in the array and press .
NOTES: Any disks not selected for the array will automatically be added
as spares.
OS limitation is 2.0 TB maximum. However, multiple arrays or
partitions can be created to achieve over 2.0 TB capacity (e.g.
one array/partition with 2.0 TB, the other array/partition with
1.0 TB, or a combination thereof).
f . Press twice.
