Adjust the Needle Thread Tension for
Straight Stitch
® Correct tension
0 Needie thread (Top thread)
® Bobbin thread (Botlorn thread)

0 To tighten
The ideal straight stitch has threads locked between two lay
ers of fabric, as illustrated (magnified to show detail)
if you look at the needle thread and bobbin thread of a seam,
notice that there are no gaps, Each stitch is smooth and even.
When adjusting needie thread tension, the higher the num
ber, the tighter the top thread tension
Results depend on;
—:— stiffness and thickness of the fabric
------- number of fabric layers
—— type of stitch

The bobbin thread shows through on the right side of the fab
ric and it feeis bumpy Turn the dial to a lower tension setting
number to ioosen the needle thread tension.
