Record Defeat
Follow the steps below to prevent accidental recording.
Press the COMBI button^ then the MENU button to dis­
play the pop up nnenu.

Press the Play/A button or the Stop/T button to select
VCR SETUP, then press the Fast Forward/Search/+ but­

button so that ON appears to the
right of RECORD DEFEAT.

Press the STATUS/EXIT button.
Now, REC DEFEATED will flash on-screen when you press
the REC(ord)/OTR button.

" If you put the D/NCR in Record
Defeat mode after a timer recording
has been programmed,
the timer
recording wii! not be carried out

!f you put the TV/VCR in Record
Defeat mode, then try to program a
timer recording, you will not be able
to program a timer recording. VCR
PROGRAM cannot be seiected from
the pop up menu.Also, the \^CR
PLUS+IENTER button cannot be
used.
• To take die TV/VCR out of Record
Defeot mode,
repeat steps I - 2
above. At step 3, press the Number
4 button so
