Press the Number ( button to record in SP speed, press
the Number

button to record in UP speed, or press the
Number 3 button to record in SLP speed. Detor/s
about tape
speed are on page 33.
You cannot use the (Tape) SPEED button at
diis time.

Press two Number buttons for the month and two
Number buttons for the day you want the program to
record. For example, for July 10, 1997, press 07, I O.The day of
the week and the year will be displayed automatically (you cannot
program theTVA^CR to record more than one year in advance).

Press the STATUS/EXIT button. PROGRAM WAS COM
PLETED / PLEASETURN OFF FORTIMER RECORDING will
appear on-screen.
o If there is not a tape in theTV/VCR, PLEASE INSERT CASSETTE
also appears on-screen.
o If there is a tape without a record tab in theTV/VCR, PLEASE
REMOVE CASSETTE also appears on-screen. If this happens,
insert a different tape.
o If PROGRAM NOT COMPLETED appears, start again at step I.
In three seconds the on-screen message will disappear.
Turn off the TV/VCR power. The REC(ord) light will flash. If you
forget to turn off theTV/VCR, PLEASETURN OFF FORTIMER
RECORDING appears on theTV/VCR screen two minutes before
a timer recording starts.
TheTV/VCR must be off for a timer
recording to take place!
Make sure there is a tape in the TV/VCR,

CLASH may appear on-screen when
you ^nish setting a timer recording.
This

that the timer recording
you just programmed and another
timer recording overlap, and thus
the current timer recording will not

carried out

To stop a started

the TV/VCR
