Reading comparator values (P.V. values) from sensor amplifiers

Comparator values (P.V. values) are read by reading the IN areas which are assigned
the ID numbers of sensor amplifiers.

Device assignments:

"Comparator Value (P.V. Value)" (page 3-10)

This example illustrates how to read the comparator values from the sensor amplifiers
of ID 01, 02, and 03.
It assumes that the operating mode assigned to the devices are "3-output mode +
current value, without extension."
(1) When the comparator value of a sensor amplifier is updated, the new comparator

value is entered into the IN area via I/O communication.
If the judgment value is correct, the parameter range is - 199.9999 to 199.9999.
If the current value is over range, under range, or invalid, the previous value is
retained without updating the current value. Use the value with the judgment value
property.

(2) The property of the comparator value is entered. If the comparator value of a

sensor amplifier is "over", "under," or "invalid," the bit corresponding to the ID
number of that sensor amplifier flips to 1.

If the calculation setting is set to the calculation mode and the appli-
cation is set to other than standard difference, the main unit cannot
read the comparator value (P.V. value). Both the main unit and the
expansion unit read the raw value (R.V. value).
When you read the comparator value (P.V. value) from the main unit,
use explicit messaging or the calculation-only mode.
