NOTE: The drive belt may stretch and loosen with regular use. This looseness may
result in a flapping noise under the hood.
1. MAKE SURE THE TREADMILL IS SWITCHED TO THE OFF
POSITION AND DISCONNECTED FROM ITS POWER OUTLET.
2. Remove the (3) #10-32 screws located on the bottom hood with

Allen wrench.
3. With the ¾” socket and wrench loosen the TENSION ADJUSTMENT
back nut.
4. Measure from the head of the ½”-13 bolt to the motor housing. The
spring compression should be 1-3/16” or 30mm.
5. Using a ¾” wrench turn the TENSION BOLT clockwise to compress
the spring. To decrease compression, turn the wrench counter
clockwise.
6. When the spring is compressed to 1-3/16” or 30mm, tighten the
TENSION ADJUSTMENT back nut.
NOTE: Failure to lock the TENSION ADJUSTMENT Back Nut will allow the drive
belt tension to become loose.
7. When the treadmill is properly adjusted reinstall hood with
(3) each #8-32
screws.
