To connect to the SCT20-TCP/IP using a socket (for example Winsock), the port to use is 10001.
To connect to SCT20-TCP/IP via Ethernet TCP/IP through a serial virtual port (virtual COM port of a PC) perform
the following steps.
1. Run TCPIP.exe found on the CD
2. Then enter IP Address of SCT20-TCP/IP and press
ACTIVATE
. It activates socket connection.
3. Type the ASCII command (without CR) and press
SEND
. You can see the answer in Received box.

Use the added COM to communicate with SCT20-TCP/IP using the selected protocol.
SCT20 TCP/IP.exe is included on the CD for testing commands, it only works with Port 10001.

Protocol Selection
To select the protocol to use on the Ethernet port, you can choose one of the following:
• EthNet - Modelines of the list below (none, Modbus, ASCII, Contin, Rip, Hdrip, Hdripn). For details about
these protocols see Section 2.8.
• IPAddr,SUbNET,GAtuAYare not used yet, IPAddress, Subnet Mask or Gatway address cannot be assigned
directly through the keyboard: use configuration SW Lantronix DeviceInstaller.
• UEbSrvprotocol is not implemented yet.
