Row Unit Lock-Up
The row units can be pinned in the up position to
accommodate 30” row spacing.
Refer to Figure 34
1.
Select the individual row units you want to
keep in the raised position. It is suggested
that the down pressure springs be set to the
minimum setting first.
2.
Raise the units high enough that the hole for
the pin is above the lower parallel arm. This
can easily be done by placing a small block
below the disc blades and setting the planter
down upon it.
3.
Insert locking pin through both holes and low-
er the unit allowing the pin to rest on the top of
the lower parallel arm.
NOTE: Do not pin the row unit while it is in the low-
ered position. If the pin is inserted above the par-
allel arm it WILL damage unit soon after planting
begins.
Veris Height Switch
The optional Veris drive is supplied with a height
switch that is used to activate the Veris drive when
the planter is lowered for field operation.
Refer to Figure 35
1.
Loosen the bolts holding the height switch
and pull the switch away from the frame pivot.
2.
Lower the planter to the height at which seed
delivery should begin.
3.
Push the switch towards the frame pivot until
the plunger just touches the frame.
4.
Push the switch in another 1/16” and tighten
the bolts to secure it in place.
