Thank you for purchasing a Poison Spyder JK
Evap Skid. The Skid will protect your Jeep’s
vulnerable evaporative canister from damage
on the trail. Note that the installation procedure,
brackets and hardware are different for ‘07-’11
and ‘12+ JK’s (hardware and instructions for both
are included). Installation is fairly simple with
the right tools and good mechanical abilities. If
you are not confident in your mechanical skills,
please seek the help of a professional to perform
the installation. Please read through these entire
instructions before proceeding with installation.

‘07-’11 INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Park vehicle on a level surface, place the
transmission in gear or park, and set the
emergency brake. Wear safety glasses from
this point on.
2. Use a small flat screwdriver or pick to
disengage and unplug the two line lines
at the back of the canister. Each of these
connections has a wire spring/bail that can
be pried up to release it from its socket.
Work the vapor line loose from its fitting. It is
just a slip-fit but can be on there pretty tight.
