JK 4-DOOR B-PILLAR COVER INSTALLATION
Thank you for purchasing Poison Spyder B-Pillar
Covers for your Jeep JK 4-Door. Installation
is fairly simple with the right tools and good
mechanical abilities. If you are not confident in
your mechanical skills, please seek the help of a
professional to perform the installation. Please
read through these entire instructions before
proceeding with installation.
PARTS LIST
(1) Driver side B-Pillar Cover
(1) Passenger side B-Pillar Cover
(1) Nut Insert installation tool
(12) 1/4-20 nut-sert
(12) 1/4-20X3/4 SS flat head cap screw
TOOLS NEEDED
• 1/2” drill motor
• 1/4” drill bit
• 25/64” drill bit
• Die grinder with small carbide burr bit
• Hammer
• 1/4” center punch
• 5/32” hex key
• 1/4” drive ratchet
• Anti-seize compound
• Fine tip felt marker
• Masking tape
• Touch- up paint
• A friend to hold parts in place
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt this installation
in ambient temperatures below 80°F (26
°C). Aluminum shrinks or expands almost
imperceptibly at different temperatures. Installing
these items at a warmer temperature will ensure
that they do not try to expand and buckle when
ambient temperatures rise.
NOTE: This product is designed to be installed
along with Poison Spyder 4-Door JK Body
Armor or Brawler Rockers. These instructions
assume that the Body Armor or Brawler Rockers
have already been installed. If installing without
these, or in conjunction with other manufacturers’
rocker armor, it is the installer’s responsibility to
make any necessary modifications.
INSTALL PREPARATION:
1. Park vehicle on a level surface and set
the parking brake. You will want to wear eye
protection beyond this point in time.
3. Apply masking tape along the vertical
edges of the Jeep’s B-Pillar to protect the
paint finish during installation.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Hold the B-Pillar Cover against the Jeep’s
B-Pillar and position it. Make sure the B-Pillar
Cover is centered between the vertical edges
of the Jeep’s B-Pillar. Position it vertically so
that it is very slightly apart from the top edge
of your previously-installed JK Body Armor
or Brawler Rockers. You may use a couple
of pennies or a thin piece of sheet metal or
cardboard to space the B-Pillar Cover from
the Body Armor or Brawler Rocker. Have a
friend hold the B-Pillar Cover in place.
2. Use the fine-tip felt marker or center punch
to mark each of the hole locations, using the
B-Pillar Cover. Be extremely careful to not
allow the Cover to move while doing this.
3. Use the 1/4” bit and drill motor to drill pilot
holes at each of the hole locations.
