Code Download Method Menu
The Code Download Method menu (see Figure 5-37 ) provides options for upgrading the
software of the MX410/MX412.

The Code Download Method menu options are shown in Table 5-29 .

Option Description Function
1 X-MODEM This option invokes another menu to initiate an X-Modem
transfer. Options are as follows:
• Initiate Transfer: This option initiates the transfer. Once
initiated use the VT100 terminal or VT100 emulation
software to send the file to the MX410/MX412.
• Card Reset: This option applies newly downloaded
software to the MX410/MX412.
2 TFTP This option invokes another menu to initiate a TFTP
transfer. Options are as follows:
• TFTP Server: This option is used to enter the IP address
where the TFTP server resides.
• Remote Filename: This option is used to enter the
filename stored on the TFTP server.
• Initiate Transfer: This option is used to start the transfer
process.
• Card Reset: This option applies newly downloaded
software to the MX410/MX412.
