• This function works only in the Record mode page 21
• To play the contents of a DVD-RW/-R/+R DL on other DVD players/recorders drives, you must
fi nalize the disc.When fi nalizing, there should be enough power in the batteries. If the AC power
adaptor is to be used, make sure that the jack is properly connected. A power cut during fi nalizing
may disrupt the disc from replaying.
1. Slide the POWER switch downwards to turn on the power. page 21
2. Set the Storage mode switch to DISC. (SC-DX103/DX105 only) page 30
3. Press the MENU button, then move the Joystick right or left to select “Disc
Manage.”
4. Move the Joystick up or down to select “Disc Finalize,” then press the
Joystick.
• You can simply fi nalize the disc using the FINALIZE button on the DVD
camcorder.
5. The message “DVD needs to fi nalize for other DVD player or recorder
to be played. But no more recording is allowed after fi nalizing.” will
appear. Move the Joystick right or left to select “Next,” then press the
Joystick.
• Disc information will appear.
6. Move the Joystick right or left to select “Execute,” then press the Joystick.
• To exit, use the Joystick to select “Exit,” the press the Joystick.
7. Move the Joystick right or left to select “Yes,” then press the Joystick.
• The message showing that the disc is being fi nalized will appear.
WARNING
During fi nalizing, do not cause impact or vibration to your DVD
camcorder. This could cause a malfunction.
• The fi nalize function is not available at the battery level under ( ).
• Once fi nalized, the movie images or a playlist in the disc cannot
be deleted or edited.
• Time required for fi nalizing may differ by disc type.
• Refer to page 8 for fi nalized disc compatibility.
• Playback is not guaranteed in all DVD players/recorders/drives.
For compatibility details, refer to your DVD players/recorders/
drives owner’s manual.
• Once the DVD-R/+R DL disc is fi nalized, you cannot re-record it
in the DVD camcorder.
• You may play back DVD+RW discs on other devices without
fi nalizing them.
• You cannot make an additional recording on a DVD-RW disc
without unfi nalizing it after it is fi nalized.

5. Aparecerá el mensaje “DVD needs to fi nalize for other DVD
player or recorder to be played. But no more recording is allowed
after fi nalizing.” (El DVD debe fi nalizarse para reproducirlo en
una grabadora o reproductor de DVD. Pero no se permitirán mas
grabaciones tras fi nalizar). Mueva el Joystick a la derecha o a la
izquierda para seleccionar “Next” (Siguiente) y presione el Joystick.
• Aparecerla la información del disco.
6. Mueva el Joystick a la derecha o a la izquierda para seleccionar
“Execute” (Ejecutar) y presione el Joystick.
• Para salir, utilice el Joystick para seleccionar “Exit” (Salir) y
presione el Joystick.
7. Mueva el Joystick a la derecha o a la izquierda para seleccionar
“Yes” (Sí) y presione el Joystick.
• Aparecerá el mensaje que muestra que se está fi nalizando el disco.
ADVERTENCIA
Durante la fi nalización, no someta la videocámara con DVD
a impactos ni a vibraciones. Esto podría causar una avería.
• La función fi nalizar no está disponible con el nivel de la
batería por debajo de ( ).
• Una vez fi nalizado , las imágenes de video o las lista de
reproducción del disco no pueden borrarse o editarse.
• El tiempo necesario para fi nalizar podría diferir por tipo de disco.
• Consulte la página 8 para conocer la compatibilidad de un
disco fi nalizado.
• La reproducción no está garantizada en todos los
reproductores/grabadoras de DVD. Para obtener
información sobre compatibilidad, consulte el manual
de usuario de losreproductores/grabadoras/unidades.
• Una vez fi nalizado el disco DVD-R/+R DL, no puede volver
a grabarlo en la videocámara con DVD.
• Puede reproducir discos DVD+RW en otros dispositivos sin
fi nalizarlos.
• No es posible realizar grabaciones adicionales en un disco
DVD-RW sin anular la fi nalización una vez fi nalizado.
