✪ If you encounter any problem using your camcorder, check the following before
requesting service.
If these instructions do not solve your problem, contact your nearest Samsung
authorized service center.
Symptoms and solutions
Power
Symptom Explanation/Solution
The power turns off
automatically.
• Is “ Auto Power Off” set to “6Min”? If no button is pressed
for about 6 minutes in STBY mode, the DVD camcorder is
automatically turned off. To disable this option, Set “ Auto
Power Off” to “Off.” page 80
• The battery pack is almost exhausted. Charge the battery
pack or replace it with a charged one. Use the AC power
adaptor.
Power cannot be turned off.
• Remove the battery pack or unplug AC power adaptor, and
connect the power supply to the camcorder again before
turning it on.
The battery pack is quickly
discharged.
• The ambient temperature is too low.
• The battery pack is not fully charged. Charge the battery
pack again.
• The battery pack reached its lifespan and cannot be
recharged. Use another battery pack.
Displays
Symptom Explanation/Solution
The LCD is turned off.
• Keep away from magnetic materials. When magnetic
material is near the left side of the DVD camcorder, the
LCD may be turned off but it is not a malfunction.
The image in the Viewfinder is
blurred.
• The Viewfinder lens has not been adjusted.
• Adjust the Viewfinder control lever until the indicators
displayed on the Viewfinder come into sharp focus.
The screen of TV or LCD
displays distorted images or
has stripes at the top/ bottom
or utmost left/right
• It can occur when recording or viewing a 16:9-ratio image
on a 4:3-ratio TV, or vice versa. For more details, see the
display specification.
Unknown indicator appears on
the LCD screen.
• A warning indicator or message appears on the screen.

An afterimage remains on the
LCD screen.
• This occurs if you disconnect the AC power adaptor or
remove the battery pack before turning the power off
The screen is black with
indicators appeared only.
• Check the lens cover. Open the lens cover if closed.

• La batería está casi agotada. Cargue la batería o sustitúyala

Pantalla
Síntoma Explicación/Solución
Se apaga la pantalla LCD.
• Manténgala alejada de materiales magnéticos. Si acerca un
objeto magnético al lado izquierdo de la videocámara con DVD,
es posible que se apague la pantalla LCD, pero no se trata de
ninguna avería.
La imagen se ve borrosa en
el visor.
• No se ha ajustado la lente del visor.
• Desplace la palanca de control del visor hasta que los indicadores
que aparecen en el visor muestren que está bien enfocado.
La pantalla del televisor o de
la LCD muestra imágenes
distorsionadas o con bandas
en la parte superior/inferior o
izquierda/derecha.
• Puede suceder al grabar o ver la imagen con una relación 16:9 en
un televisor con una relación 4:3 o viceversa. Para más detalles,
consulte las especificaciones de la pantalla.
En la pantalla LCD aparece
un indicador desconocido.
• Aparece en pantalla un indicador o mensaje de advertencia.

Una postimagen permanece
en la pantalla LCD.
• Esto sucede si desconecta el adaptador de alimentación de CA o
retira la batería sin apagar la unidad antes.
La pantalla LCD aparece
en negro sólo con los
indicadores.
• Compruebe la tapa del objetivo. Abra la tapa del objetivo si está
cerrada.
