Overview
System upgrades of the UDM-0102 can be performed following consultation with AMX support.
Upgrade files can be downloaded from the AMX web site.
Tools required to perform system upgrades include;
TFTP client
Necessary files. Files that represent possible firmware updates include:
UDM-0102 Firmware (file format = c
Web Firmware (file format = f
Port Firmware (for output ports, not input ports - file format = p
Bootloader Firmware (file format = b
UDM-RX02 Firmware (file format = c
Working knowledge of UDM-0102 and UDM-RX02.
Establishing a TFTP Session with the Hub and/or Receiver
The Serial port on the UDM-0102 and UDM-RX02 is an RJ12 connector, and requires a RS01
DB9-to-RJ12 adapter cable (FG-RS01) to connect to a PC for Terminal control.
On the UDM-0102, the Serial port is located on the front panel, and is labelled "10101".
On the UDM-RX02, the Serial port is located on the rear panel, and is labelled “SERIAL”.

Use the RS01 DB9-to-RJ12 adapter cable to connect an available DB9 Serial port on the PC to the
RJ12 Serial port on either the UDM-0102 or the UDM-RX02.

Ensure the TFTP client software has been installed on the PC, and is configured to use default Serial
communication settings:

Start a Command Line session on the PC and run the TFTP client.
The Controller Firmware and the Web Firmware must always be the same version.
Never upgrade one without also upgrading the other to the same version number.
