Administration

NOTE:
For DL servers, the Onboard Administrator and Virtual Connect options are not available
in the Tools menu.
The following sections describe the functionality of the tools available on the Tools menu, except
for discovery. Discovery is explained in
.
NOTE:
All of the tasks described in the following sections assume that discovery has already
taken place.
Server power
This tool lets you turn the server power on or off. Selecting this tool toggles the power on and off,
with the color of the icon indicating whether it is currently on or off.
UID light
This tool lets you turn the UID light on or off to help physically locate the device. Selecting this tool
toggles the UID light on and off, with the color of the icon indicating whether it is currently on or
off.
iLO Web Administration
This tool lets you access the iLO web interface for the current host. If you have the proper credentials
(“SuperUser”, “InsightAdmin”, InsightOperator” or “InsightUser”), you will be automatically logged
into the iLO web interface using its single sign-on functionality.
iLO Remote Console
This tool lets you access the iLO Remote Console for the current host. If you have the proper
credentials (“SuperUser”, “InsightAdmin”, InsightOperator” or “InsightUser”), you will be
automatically logged into the iLO Remote Console using its single sign-on functionality.
Onboard Administrator
This tools lets you access the Onboard Administrator web interface for the enclosure containing
the current host (only valid for blade servers). If you have the proper credentials (“SuperUser”,
“InsightAdmin”, InsightOperator” or “InsightUser”), you will be automatically logged into the
Onboard Administrator web interface using its single sign-on functionality.
