8 Database Backup
The Actions toolbar, displayed to the right of the HP OneView tab, contains the Tools menu ,
which allows the user to backup the HP OneView for RHEV database which contains the current
inventory and health data for all discovered entities. Database Backup can be useful when you
want to migrate the RHEV-M install, upgrade the OS, or save the database for security/backup
and debug purposes.
1.
Click on the Tools icon.
2. Select Database Backup. A dialogue box is displayed to confirm that the user wants to
download a backup of the database file.
3. Select Download to download a backup of the database file; select Cancel to end the process.
4. Depending on the browser used and the browser settings, you may be given the option to
specify the destination location for the saved file when downloading the database backup.
NOTE: If the backup fails due to network or other issues, a dialog is displayed indicating
the reason it failed.
