5 Host information
HP OneView for RHEV collects inventory, performance and health data from HP ProLiant servers,
blade enclosures, and Virtual Connect modules. The HP OneView for RHEV Host Information tabs
are displayed when a host is selected from the RHEV-M Host Resources Tabs. The tabs provide
detailed information related to the selected host.
NOTE: All tasks described in this chapter assume that discovery has already taken place.
The following table provides a summary of the type of information available on each tab. A more
detailed description follows.

Description Tab Name
View a summary of inventory, performance, health status, and firmware information for the currently
selected host. For a more detailed description of this data, see
“Overview” (page 18) .
Overview
View newsfeed items relevant to the selected host. For example, if you entered invalid credentials for
the host, a message would show up here. For a more detailed description of this data, see
“Newsfeed”
(page 20) .
Newsfeed
View inventory, performance, and health status data for the selected host. For a more detailed
description of this data, see
“Host” (page 20) .
Host
View inventory, performance, and health status data for the blade enclosure containing the selected
host (only displayed if the host is a blade server). For a more detailed description of this data, see
“Enclosure” (page 22) .
Enclosure
View a diagram of the Virtual Connect (VC) network topology relevant to the host (only displayed if
the host is a blade server). This includes logical networks, host network interfaces, VC modules and Networking
networks, and uplinked external switches. For a more detailed description of this data, see
“Networking” (page 24) .
NOTE: For DL servers and ML servers, the Enclosure and Networking tabs are not present.
Overview
The Overview tab provides an overview or summary of key inventory, performance, health status
and firmware information for the selected host, presented in several tables.
Newsfeed
The Newsfeed table contains:

Status—Message status. For descriptions of each status value, see “Status values” (page 26) .
•
Message—Description of the event that has occurred.
