Selecting HP OneView from the set of RHEV-M Resources Tabs exposes the HP OneView for RHEV
Global Pane containing the five tabs listed in the table below. These tabs provide data and
functionality that is “global” and not specific to a single host.

Description

Tab Name

The Welcome tab provides a brief overview of how to navigate HP OneView for RHEV.

The Credentials tab is used for discovery and communication with hosts. For more information,

The Communication Status tab provides the status of communication with managed hosts. For
more information, see

“Communication Status” (page 15)

The Newsfeed tab provides newsfeed items for all managed hosts (global newsfeed). For more
information, see

The Firmware tab provides firmware information for all managed hosts. For more information,

In addition to the tabs listed above, there is also a global Actions toolbar that provides functionality
that is not host-specific. In the current release, these functions include Database Backup and Connect
to HP OneView.

Welcome

The Welcome tab provides a brief overview of HP OneView for RHEV and some high-level
instructions for navigating to HP host data.

Credentials

The Credentials tab provides access to and management of all credentials used for Discovery and
communication with all hosts managed by HP OneView for RHEV. Each row in the table corresponds
to a host being managed by HP OneView for RHEV. HP OneView credentials that have been
added will also be listed.

Data displayed includes:

Info—icon and mouse-over information indicating status of that set of credentials and host
summary.

Host—RHEV-M name that identifies the host.

Username—username used to authenticate with the host.
