Modifying RCU options (Change RCU Option)
Use the RCU Options pane (see
) to modify RCU options set when you registered
the RCU. When the RCU Option pane is opened with the Change RCU Option command, all fields
are blank. You must fill in the fields you need to modify; it is not necessary to fill in all fields. Fields
left blank keep settings made for the registering RCU operation.
RCU options apply to all CU images of the current MCU and all RCUs connected to the MCU.

In the CU number/Port tree on the RCU Operation pane, ensure that the correct CU image is
selected.
2.
From the MCU/RCU list, click the RCU you want to modify.
3.
Right-click, click RCU Operation, and click Change RCU Option. The RCU Option pane appears.
4.
Modify RCU options. When the RCU Option pane is open, all fields are blank. Fill in the fields
you want to modify.
5.
Click Set to set the modifications. The list changes to the RCU Settings Parameter list (RCU
Option) view. Click Cancel to cancel all modifications you made.

After being set, options can be modified and canceled (see
and deleting settings” (page 81)
).
6.
Click Apply on the XP Continuous Access main pane to apply the modification to the disk
array.
When modifications are set (the RCU Option pane closes), the MCU/RCU list changes to the RCU
Settings Parameter list (RCU Option).
