4 Starting XP Continuous Access
You must operate XP Remote Web Console in Modify mode to perform XP Continuous Access
operations. In View mode, you can only view XP Continuous Access information. For additional
information about Modify and View modes, see the HP StorageWorks XP Remote Web Console
user guide: HP XP12000 Disk Array, HP XP10000 Disk Array, HP 200 Storage Virtualization

1. Launch XP Command View Advanced Edition or XP Remote Web Console.
2. Click CA. The XP Continuous Access main pane appears.
NOTE: Partition-level users in the Storage Admins group cannot perform XP Continuous Access
operations. For more information about limitations, see the HP StorageWorks XP Command View
Advanced Edition Software Device Manager user guide or the HP StorageWorks XP Remote Web

XP Continuous Access panes
To access XP Continuous Access panes, click the following tabs: Pair Operation, RCU Operation,
Asynchronous Operation, Usage Monitor, History Operations, or Other Operation.
The XP Continuous Access main pane (also known as the Pair Operation pane) is displayed by
clicking the Pair Operation tab. This pane shows information for the selected CU image of the
connected disk array and provides access to all XP Continuous Access functions.
Table 19 (page 52) shows the XP Continuous Access functions of each tab. To apply settings on
the XP Continuous Access function tabs, click Apply.
