Port - Group - LUN:
P-VOL: Port number - Group - LUN of the primary volume (P-VOL), CLPR number, and
CLPR name.
◦
NOTE:
If # is added to the end of the LDEV number, such as 00:3C#, the LDEV is an
external volume. For details about external volumes, see the HP StorageWorks XP External
Storage Software user guide: HP XP12000 Disk Array, HP XP10000 Disk Array, HP 200
Storage Virtualization System.
◦
S-VOL: Secondary volume (S-VOL). Specify each item as follows: Port: 1A-2R, Group:
00-7F, LUN: 00-FF. If you select two or more LUs as P-VOLs in the Volume list, select an
S-VOL for the P-VOL of the lowest LUN. S-VOLs for the remainder of the P-VOLs are
automatically assigned according to the LUN. For example, if you select three LUs on the
Volume list and select LUN01 as S-VOL for the first P-VOL, S-VOLs of following P-VOLs
are LUN02 and LUN03.
NOTE:
Ensure that all assigned S-VOLs are available. If the automatically assigned
S-VOLs are already used for other operations, modify the S-VOL individually (see
“Modifying parameters and deleting LUs” (page 96)
for instructions).
•
RCU: RCU for the XP Continuous Access pairs being created. RCUs added to the MCU appear.
For CU Free, the drop-down list includes the serial number, controller ID, path group ID, and
path type. For CUs other than CU Free, the drop-down list includes the serial number, CU
number, SSID, path type, and controller ID. The RCU must be the same for all pairs being
created during one operation.
•
P-VOL Fence level: Conditions under which the MCU rejects write operations to the P-VOL.
Never: Never fence the operation. When asynchronous pairs are created, Never is set
automatically.
◦
◦
Data: Fence when the MCU cannot successfully execute an update copy operation for
any reason.
◦
Status: Fence only if the MCU cannot change the S-VOL status to the same status as the
P-VOL. This option is only for synchronous mode.
